ROADSIDE STATION "BUZEN Okoshikake"


Newly opened the third Roadside Station in Fukuoka Prefecture "BUZEN Okoshikake" on the 4th March.
It located on the between Route 10 and old Route 10 at Shiromaru area.
"Okoshikake" originates from the once Empress Jingu(4th or 5th century), who visited, the Buzen area and rested on the gigantic rock(O is honorific and Koshikake is chair).The main features are the variety of pumpkin products and the No.1 accessibility toilet for handicapped people.




Unfortunately it rained opening day, but many people visited from wide area.

Buzen is famous for pumpkin. At roadside station you can buy confectionary made from pumpkin.
Considering on legend man with classic cloth is carrying mammoth pumpkin.
